On localhost delete option not working

I have configured website on localhost that have malware almost 2200 files infected. when i try to delete the all files it gives error “Nothing done
We didn’t delete anything and no errors were found.” If i want to remove code from these files that take days to remove. So i want to remove the files with delete option but it didn’t work for me.
